Halloween Weekend

Our favorite trick-or-treater -
Luke in his green M&M costume
A quick synopsis of Halloween weekend:

Friday we had a little shopping excursion in LeClaire, followed by dinner at Azteca with delicious peach margaritas. I was tempted to buy a light fixture for the kitchen, but luckily we checked the length before purchasing as it would have hung too low

Saturday I was up early to drive up to Ames for homecoming. Quick meeting, fun tailgating, and I was back on the road to Davenport by 2:00pm. Had to get back for our first trick-or-treating experience! Mom and Jord accomplished a lot while I was gone, so we were all able to sit back and relax for the evening.

Sunday we woke up early to get to work. We got some painting done, put up the house numbers and mailbox, mulched and seeded the front lawn. Dad brought over a roast and mashed potatoes for dinner - it was ready just as we were wrapping up for the day. All in all, it was a productive weekend!  Still a lot to do, but the list is starting to dwindle. I'm hoping that by the end of this week we can get back to normal - after all, we have a lot of TV to catch up on!
